Our Product Support forum for our US and Canadian customers will be relocated to a new and improved forum soon. We will advise our loyal forum users of the moving date as soon as our new forum has been completed. Once the new forum is available, you will be required to re-register to experience all the new and improved features. You will no longer be able to post on this current forum, but you will have "read only" access. Please stay tuned for further updates...

On behalf of Onkyo and our Product Support department, we would like to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season!!!

Best Regards,

Forum Moderator

The ONKYO PRODUCT SUPPORT FORUM is moving.... Empty Re: The ONKYO PRODUCT SUPPORT FORUM is moving....

That is great news. There is such a wealth of information on these forums for people like myself to find solutions or tips/fixes from other forum members. Hopefully all these forum postings and our user names, PM mailboxes, etc. are going to move over to the new forums on the 30th. That would be a great thing to do for all your customers.

Are you going to keep all the postings on this forum and move to the new one or just delete them all? Will we all have to re-register when you do?

Thank you. Hope all had a nice holiday.

The ONKYO PRODUCT SUPPORT FORUM is moving.... Empty Updates?

Post  FlyByNgt Sat Nov 24, 2012 3:05 pm

Hi Onkyo,

As asked in my previous post that went unanswered once again... Is the forum moving with all the threads, posts, topics, etc.? Will we lose our PM (Private Messages)? Will we all have to re-register?

There is so much information on these forums that has helped so many of your customers in the US and also abroad. You can see this by the postings. It would be a real shame if all of this is just going to be wiped away next Friday, the 30th. Or is this being done just for that reason??

Hopefully this time your company will reply. FlyByNgt 11-24-12

Yeah, I'd like to know as well if all our posts will be transferred over to the "New" forum.

I belong to the Hyundai forum & they transferred all our stuff over when they switched to a new forum last year.

There's way too much valuable information here to be discarded. I find a lot of answers here by searching previous posts!

Thanks for a reply.

The ONKYO PRODUCT SUPPORT FORUM is moving.... Empty How do we back up our data? IMPORTANT!

Post  FlyByNgt Mon Nov 26, 2012 11:13 pm

Evening Moderator,

I have asked in the two previous posts about this forum moving this Friday, November 30, 2012. We have had NO UPDATES per your original posting.

I, as sure others have many PM's (Personal Messages) in our inbox, saved, etc.. It is very important to be able to keep these PM's and posts and replies from Onkyo and others that helped resolve my issues to be able to reference back to them if ever needed.

What I am asking now is... can you please explain to me and I am sure many other users on this helpful forum how to back up all of my mail and postings to this forum since my original question went unanswered as to if the changing of the moving of the forums is going to wipe out the forum boards and if all us users will have to re-register on the new forum board. This is not meant in any ill mannered meaning. Please understand.

I do not think this is a unreasonable request and hope you will reply this time. This is important to myself and should be important to all the forum members if by moving the forum will result in all data being lost.

I hope to get a reply this time. Have a great evening. FlyByNgt 11-26-12 9:11pm EST

THANK YOU FOR THE UPDATE!!!! So this board (forums) are staying intact in case we want to reference back to it correct? Also, since you state we will have to re-register. Can you tell me, and I am sure others how to back up our data if this is at all possible?

Have a nice evening. Ciao, FlyByNgt 11-29-12
