TX-NR818 HDMI Audio Dropouts Empty TX-NR818 HDMI Audio Dropouts

I am experiencing repeated audio dropouts, as delivered via HDMI on the TX-NR818. This occurs like clockwork, approximately every 8 minutes, and lasts for approximately 300mS. This results in a momentary audio "hole" or interrupt. However, video is not affected. Noticed primarily with a Samsung HD Cable box (Cablevision) connected via the assigned HDMI input. This does not occur when HDMI pass-thru is in effect (TX-NR818 in standby). Any advice or suggestions on how to mitigate this issue would be gratefully appreciated.

You can follow the information provided from Samsung's website and FAQs regarding this issue with their set-top boxes as a starting point.
