Concern on Onkyo Receiver

To Onkyo Support:

I have owned Onkyo TX_SR603X for 6 yrs and I am very happy about it. Now it is the time for me to upgrade the receiver. My target was NR609 or NR611. But seeing so many unhappy reviews on Amazon, I am very hesitant to buy a receiver from Onkyo anymore. In particular, many users have problems with HDMI input and output. I am just wondering what Onkyo is doing to solve this issue?

No problems with my NR 609 with the exception of the Roku2 which it seems Onkyo or Roku is having some handshake issues.

As the TX-NR 609 has been discontinued from production in place of the new 2012 model TX-NR 616 receiver; you have the option of either receiver if your authorized Onkyo dealer has either model in inventory. If you have any further questions or issues , Please contact our Product Support Dept for further assistance with this specific issue via our phone number and hours of operation (Monday- Friday 9am- 8pm/ Saturdays and Sundays 10am- 4pm EST). We would like to speak with you and work to troubleshoot and resolve your issue as prompt as possible.
