ARC and RIHD not working on TX-NR1009 Empty ARC and RIHD not working on TX-NR1009

I just purchased a Panasonic TC-P65ST50 smart tv that supports RIHD and ARC, but I cannot get either feature to function with my TX-NR1009. I have verified all the settings with my tv and receiver, but I get no sound or HDMI control. What could be the problem? I have also tried multiple HDMI cables so I know the cable is not problem.

I contacted tech support but they just confirm everything was set correctly, but we still could not get ARC or RIHD functioning. Does your company keep a test model of each receiver that someone can test and ensure ARC is functioning and there is not a firmware issue? I also spoke with Panasonic tech support and they confirmed all my settings for the TV are correct as well.
So now I'm to the point that either my receiver or TV has a defect. I think it has to be something wrong with the receiver because I couldn't get RIHD control to work on my Toshiba LCD that I just replaced either.

I was able to get the ARC and RIHD working. After doing both a soft reset and a hard reset, it was still not working. I then decided to unplug all other HDMI inputs, then power cycled the television and receiver. After pressing the power button on the television remote, the tv AND receiver powered up. Just an FYI for your tech support team if anyone else runs into this issue. The only devices connected via HDMI to the receiver were an XBOX 360 and a Samsund digital cable box (from Time Warner). I'm not sure which device was causing the issue, but apparently it was one of those.
